Time to RISE.

In the spring of 2020, as the real-world impact of the COVID crisis and social unrest became all too apparent, many of our advertising partners began to suffer, particularly small minority-owned businesses. At Effectv, we soon realized that we would need to change how we operated and challenge ourselves in new ways. If we genuinely believed in our chatter, that Comcast Advertising was “a trusted advertising sales organization, pledging to super-serve local, regional, and national advertisers in growing their businesses,” there was no better time to step up and deliver on that promise. So, instead of fearing the upheaval and uncertainty of the new COVID era, we leaned into what we did best.

The ultimate response to this crisis was Comcast RISE, an ambitious and wide-reaching program designed to help our small business partners. We reached out to five of our regional cities hit hardest by the pandemic and awarded grant packages that included business consultation services, educational resources, monetary grants, (and with the aid of our talented bench of writers and designers) help with creative production. With a sizable donation from Comcast corporate, combined with our in-house skills and reach, we became the trusted advertising partners we aspired to be, assisting our clients in a crucial time of need.

Comcast has continued its efforts to help an ever growing range of small businesses, focusing on diversity, inclusion, and community investment, with a focus on economic growth. To date, 13,500 small businesses have been awarded over $125 million in monetary, marketing, and technology grants.
